A supper club is a ticketed dinner that occurs in someone’s home (as opposed to a pop up, which takes place in a commercial space). Supper clubs are a medium ground between dining at a restaurant and attending a dinner party.
My supper clubs take place in my home, which is a five minute walk from Beckton Park DLR station. The exact address will be sent to attendees prior to the event. Please note Google Maps gives incorrect directions via Cyprus station. Citymapper gives correct directions.
Yes, I have two cats.
I do not cater for allergies at this time. Crustaceons, eggs, fish, milk, and molluscs are, however, never used in my kitchen. My household is fully vegan at all times.
I offer a non alcoholic welcome drink upon arrival and you are also welcome to BYOB.
You’ll never find a perfect pairing for a meal as varied as a Thai spread, but so what? Suggested tipples include high acid whites with some residual sugar: think off dry to medium sweet Chenin Blanc, Riesling, and/or Pinot Gris. Sparkling wines are also a good bet. With regards to beer, a nod toward light fizzy lagers.
Please allow 48 hours notice if for some reason you need to cancel. I buy ingredients and prepare enough to feed the number of guests who have made a booking. A restaurant might be able to cover these costs with walk-ins and last minute bookings, whereas a supper club cannot, so please be respectful of this policy.
Please bring up any issues. I really want my guests to have a nice time and to enjoy the experience
I can currently host up to 8 people at my table, which is shared with any other guests who have booked.
Nope. Come in a ball gown or pyjamas, whichever makes you most comfortable.
Have a look at the upcoming events page and follow those links. If there are no events listed and you would like to request a date, please send me an email.
That’s fine! We’ve all had a first time. I do my best to help guests feel comfortable and at home. If there’s a concern just pop your head into the kitchen and let me know.
Because supper clubs are held in a person’s home it has not been possible to host dinners. I ceased hosting events in March 2020 but plan to resume when it is safe (and legal) to do so. Any policies with regards to Covid-19 safety procedures will be added to this website if and when necessary.
Please drop me a note and I’ll do my best to answer.
